Interpretive Training - “Telling your Story”

With increased ecotourism and adventure travel, comprehensive training responds to the needs of the environment and the tourism industry's demand for heritage interpreters.

Brent Liddle, a skilled trainer, delivers quality instruction in all areas of interpretive training. Courses are custom developed with the client in mind.

His unique approach to interpretation helps everyone “think outside the box” revealing new meanings and relationships. Whether participants are PhD's or without formal education, the interpretation is customized to meet the needs of the audience.

Course participants learn how to communicate their heritage through personal presentations, signs, exhibits, and publications. Group projects are developed to help visitors learn more about the area.

Brent is currently an instructor at Yukon College teaching “Principles and Practices of Heritage Interpretation” (Environmental Studies 223). Over the past decade he has educated students in the Renewable Resources program giving them a better appreciation of Yukon's heritage.

As a certified Heritage Interpreter and Tourism Trainer through the Yukon Tourism and Education Council, Brent has also taught in developing countries who place top priority on ecotourism and learning travel.
